A very nice example of a readily portable item for field use; primarily botanical Though unsigned it is probably English.
The microscope diassembles, but no longer has its carrying case.A small box with a few prepared slides is included.   c. 1810.

Gorham Coin Silver Stag Head Vase
A bud vase of Classical form with two applied deer heads, and with the engraved inscription, "Fennie/October 5th 1865". Marked with the Gorham three-element trademark as used for silver, but not marked sterling. This relates to Gorham's Saxon Stag pattern of circa 1855.   America. c. 1865. 5 7/8" H.
