Newport Mahogany Dishtop Stand
The dished top on characteristic cannon barrel standard and cabriole legs ending in snake feet.
A classic example of the dense San Domingan mahogany widely used in Rhode Island furniture until overharvesting virtually wiped it out early in the 19th century.
