One with the image of St. Matthew; the other of St. Thaddeus. Both have original pigment, almost complete in the case of the Matthew plaque; both holed for hanging. Probably German.

Fine Copper Engraved and Dated Lidded Jug
With bulbous body, short spout, and strap handle; decorated overall with palmettes, symbols and allegorical figural representations, and stamped with a crown above a letter S. The jug is dated in elegant style on the base.
