With overall tilework designs in a coppery lustre; an Arabic inscription around the interior of the rim.   Iran. 12th/13th century. 9 1/2"H.

The slightly concave spreading cylindical body with a pseudo inscription at the shoulder, and with a band of incised leav es beneath; the glaze pooling just above the foot disclosing the grey body. Probably Sultanabad.
Repaired professionally.   Iran. c. 13th century.
